Paul Merry

Starting his career at the Michelin Star Longueville Manor on the island of Jersey, Paul moved to London to work in a number of highly acclaimed restaurants before moving into the contracting sector, gaining over 30 years’ experience within the Business & Industry market. As Executive Chef for Channel 4 Television and later as group executive chef, Paul moved into Regional and then National roles before spending the last 6 years heading up a large culinary team delivering operational food solutions, Recipe development, chef training and food concepts. Paul's focus in Accent is all things food.

Was once Essex’s youngest qualified football League referee…
Paul is a keen Photographer and is currently featured in an exhibition at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.

Things that make me smile: 

Food: I have a weakness for cheese, especially a really good Cornish blue with a glass or two of Taylors Late bottled...
Music: Way too many to mention but include – Frank Turner, Embrace, Elbow, Mumford & Sons, Bombay Bicycle Club and Carlos Santana!
Experience: Sending the last plate away….and taking a deep breath.
