Ingredients
- 450g Strong white flour, plus extra to dust
- 2 tbsp Caster sugar
- 5 tsp Baking powder
- 4 tsp Black onion seeds
- Coriander, small handful, chopped
- 300ml Semi skimmed milk
- 4 Garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
Method
- Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, onion seeds, coriander and salt into a large bowl and stir. Heat the milk and garlic until just warm, pour into the bowl and mix to a dough. Knead well to bring together.
- Divide dough into ten and roll each portion out on a lightly floured work surface to an oval shape.
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat and fry the naans for approximately 5 minutes on each side, until golden on both sides.
- Serve immediately, or cook in batches and warm through the over for service.
